ELEVATED FRAME COOLING
The patented Elevated Frame Cooling™ design by JL Audio delivers cool air through slots directly above the top plate to the voice coil of the speaker. This enhances power handling as well as sound quality by minimizing dynamic parameter shifts and power compression.
GRILLE OPTIONS
C7-650cw and C7-350cm speakers each include a cast-alloy grille tray, one fine mesh steel grille insert and one spiral steel grille insert.
ALUMINUM DOME TWEETER
Lightweight aluminum dome tweeters deliver sparkling high-frequency detail that extends well beyond the frequency response of typical human hearing.
FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS (FEA) MOLDED DRIVERS
C7 design solutions were created and refined by using powerful mechanical and FEA modeling systems from JL Audio, including their proprietary dynamic motor analysis software. These studies led to innovative motor and suspension solutions, which were key to meeting the C7 design goals for smooth off-axis response, dynamic stability and low distortion.
DESIGNED FOR ACTIVE CROSSOVERS
A high-quality DSP — such as the JL Audio TwK® 88, TwK D8 or a VXi amplifier with built-in DSP — is recommended, with individual amplifier channels for each C7. With this approach, the system designer can use delay, crossover parameters and precise equalization to adjust for speaker placement, cabin acoustics and target response.

This 6.5-inch woofer offers exceptional linear excursion capability and outstanding linearity, resulting in solid midbass and pure, precise midrange performance.
3.5-INCH MIDRANGE
A 3.5-inch midrange speaker offers exceptional transient response and outstanding linearity, resulting in unsurpassed clarity and natural midrange reproduction.
1-INCH TWEETER
This premium tweeter features a ceramic-coated aluminum alloy diaphragm, dampened by a treated silk, s-roll surround. Acoustically designed housing boosts sensitivity in a controlled bandwidth area and helps flatten frequency response.
