Choosing Your Size
How to choose the right Garmin size
Start with your wrist
Measure your wrist circumference first, then choose a model and band range that includes your measurement comfortably.
Think about case size
A larger case usually gives a bolder look and larger screen, while a smaller case may feel lighter for everyday wear, sleep tracking or smaller wrists.
Check band width
Band width matters when shopping replacement bands. For example, fēnix 7S uses 20 mm, fēnix 7 uses 22 mm and fēnix 7X uses 26 mm bands.
Measure Before You Buy
Measuring tips
Use a flexible tape
- Wrap the tape around the part of your wrist where you normally wear a watch.
- Keep the tape flat against your skin without pulling it tight.
- Read the measurement in millimeters when comparing to the chart.
No tape measure?
- Wrap a strip of paper or string around your wrist.
- Mark where the end meets the strip.
- Lay it flat against a ruler and measure the length.
Fit notes
- The watch should feel secure but not overly tight.
- Leave enough room for comfortable movement during daily wear.
- For workouts, a slightly snugger fit may help keep the watch stable.
Between Sizes
If you are between sizes
If your wrist measurement sits near the edge of a listed range, consider how you like your watch to feel. Choose the smaller case for a lighter feel or the larger case for a bigger display. If you are choosing a replacement band, match the band width first, then check the wrist circumference range for that exact band type.
Product Detail Reminder
Check the product page before ordering
Sizing can vary by model, edition and included band. Before placing your order, review the measurements listed on the product detail page and compare them with your wrist measurement.
