Offering impressive output, accuracy and sound quality at moderate power levels, the W1v3 series subwoofers provide an immersive audio experience that can fit comfortably in space-saving enclosures, thanks to the speakers’ shallow mounting depths with no pole vent clearance to accommodate.
DYNAMIC MOTOR ANALYSIS (DMA) OPTIMIZED SPEAKERS
DMA delivers linear motor force over a wide range of speaker excursion and power levels. The result is tight, clean and articulate bass performance with ultralow distortion and stellar sound quality.
POLYPROPYLENE CONE TECHNOLOGY
The W1v3 series’ injection-molded, black mica-filled polypropylene cone structure with rubber surround offers crisp, strong bass output matched with the rigidity and durability to withstand extended play at high volume levels. An aluminum dust cap with the JL Audio logo adds a finishing accent.
SHALLOW MOUNTING DEPTHS
The W1v3 subwoofers’ shallow mounting depths and compact motor structure allow the drivers to comfortably fit in spaces where a typical subwoofer will not. For example, the 10-inch W1v3 needs only 4.6 inches of mounting depth.
CUSTOM ACCENTS
To add a personal touch to your subwoofer’s looks, an included trim ring can be painted to match the color scheme of your installation. Optional steel-mesh grille inserts (sold separately) add style and protection for your subwoofer — and the removable trim ring receives these inserts directly to make grille installation a snap.
POWERFULLY ADAPTABLE
On a wide array of vehicle applications, with sealed or ported enclosures, the W1v3 subwoofers deliver superb sound quality and power handling. Both the 10- and 12-inch versions support pairing with amplifiers in the 75- to 300-watt range. The 8-inch woofer has a 50- to 100-watt amplifier range.

The patented JL Audio elevated frame cooling design creates a pathway for high-velocity air to flow directly across the top plate of the speaker voice coil — cooling it for better power handling and improved reliability.

LEAD-WIRE SYSTEM
Carefully engineered lead-wire design and attachments ensure controlled, quiet lead-wire behavior under the most extreme excursion demands.
FCAM™ TECHNOLOGY
This “floating cone attach method” of bonding the surround/cone assembly to the voice coil former/spider structure ensures proper surround geometry in the assembled speaker for better excursion control and dynamic voice coil alignment.
VENTED REINFORCEMENT COLLAR
The JL Audio VRC™ collar design improves the rigidity and stability of the cone/spider/voice coil junction and directs airflow over the voice coil windings for improved thermal performance.
