ENGINEERED FOR PERFORMANCE
The CF series’ ultralight, fiber-reinforced pulp cone features a custom “S” roll surround for greater efficiency and extended high-frequency response. The speakers can be used as midtweeters in passive systems — or as true midrange drivers or midtweeters in active systems.
DMA-OPTIMIZED SPEAKERS
Proprietary motor, suspension and cone modeling systems are used to achieve outstanding linearity, low distortion and stellar sound quality. A flat, progressive-roll spider ensures linear compliance, while neodymium magnets keep the speakers light while offering optimal flux density.
ADVANCED FRAME DESIGN
Benefiting from years of design experience, the robust JL Audio CF series speakers feature glass-filled, high-temperature polymer frames outfitted with insert-molded terminals and low-profile perforated metal grilles designed for easy, drop-in installation.
HIGH-PASS PASSIVE FILTERS
For passive applications as midtreble speakers, CF series models include external high-pass filters that serve to enhance smoothness and improve power handling. The speakers can also be used actively as true midrange or midtweeter drivers to create outstanding two-way or three-way systems.
MADE TO FIT
CF midrange speakers are available in 2.75- or 3.5-inch sizes to provide easy direct installation in a variety of existing OEM interior configurations.
POWERFULLY ADAPTABLE
On a wide range of car audio applications, the CF speaker system delivers superb sound when powered by an amplifier in the 10–50 watts-per-channel range.
